WR 1950cc Premium Stroker Kit - Drop in kit, no machining necessary!
Sorry, this kit is sold out until mid June 2025.
Incredible low and mid range torque improvement over a standard 1720cc big bore 356 or 912 engine!
The newest engine kit in the WR line up. Uses our super strong 4130 chromoly WR 84mm Billet Crankshaft combined WR Carrillo Rods and special drop in WR Alloy/NSC (Nikasil)Cylinders with forged CP coated pistons. The camshaft is now our WR68 which has a little more duration for a stronger mid range and the same incredible low range torque and throttle response.
No clearancing or machining is necessary and the crank, rods and PCs can be combined with your stock 356 or 912 heads for a simple and easy increase in usable power.
This is our Premium 1950cc Kit and includes all the parts necessary for a complete rebuild. It's complete like our WR2.2 kit but uses parts specific to the 1950cc size.
THE KIT INCLUDES:
It's not necessary to purchase the entire kit to build a WR 1950cc Stroker Engine. Unlike the 2.2 which requires most parts from the kit, the 1950cc Basic Kit is an option if you just want to increase the displacement of a stock engine.
Each kit comes with our "356 Engine Building Tips" and the necessary instructions for assembly. We're always available to answer questions at (714) 356-1735.

The task was an overhaul and power increase on a completely original 65C which had to retain the Zenith carburetors, engine appearance and idle. John recommended a 1950 kit with the special heads. I assembled the engine myself, which was straight forward. I'm on the second day of real road testing and have 100 miles on the car. In short, John nailed it. It's seamless, smooth, tractable, well mannered, looks and idles like a 356 but delivers big, usable torque on demand. It stays in the character of a 356 but really improves the driving experience. The ultimate sleeper!
