NEW WR Stock PLUS Cylinder Heads for 356/912

Now with 40mm intake valves!

Our newest heads are made to replace all stock 356 and 912 heads for improved power and performance. Can be used with "torquer" type and "high rpm" type cams for increased performance over the entire rpm range. The intakes have an 18 cfm increase over our previous heads and a 30 cfm increase over OEM 912 heads!

They have improved fins for better cooling and a larger manifold flange with a matching gasket for our new WR Weber Intake Manifolds for 40 and 44 IDFs. This larger flange also supports any stock 356 intake manifold including Solex 40P11, Zenith, or early Solex 32s an 40s.

These are the absolute best replacement heads you can buy for the 356 and 912 engine and will finally let your 1720cc-1950cc engine realize its full potential.

FEATURES:

  • Cast just like the original heads but using a proprietary alloy and heat treat process that will not crack. The prototypes were extensively tested on the WR engine dyno and on the street. The flow through finning cools the ports and chambers for a cooler running head that will produce more power.
  • The smaller DR6EA plug is 12mm x ¾” reach and allows for much more material around the valves. It is a commonly used plug size and is easily available. Four new plugs are supplied with each set of heads. 
  • The custom WR Stainless Steel 8mm stem valves are 40mm intake and 34mm exhaust. The custom WR Locking Valve Guides are silicon-bronze alloy for excellent heat transfer and long life and are locked in place by our special WR Spring Pads. Port design is similar to original, but optimized for the larger intake valve. 
  • Special hardened lash caps provide a large pad for the stock rocker arms. A set is included with each pair of heads.
  • Special WR bead lock Chromoly Retainers are matched to the custom WR double springs and WR Spring Pads which locate the inner spring are good for 7k RPM and lifts over .525" without coil bind.
  • The 63.0cc matched chambers have a 30-degree bevel cut to be compatible with the later factory and aftermarket piston and cylinder kits. Intake and exhaust ports are the larger SC and 912 version. 
  • Test on our in house Superflow 902S dyno shows an improvement over even the latest 356C/912 heads. Improvements compared to earlier heads will be more. 
  • Completely assembled and ready to install and run. The WR Stock PLUS Cylinder Heads are a perfect replacement for early and late 356 and 912 engines.
