WR now offers our own 91mm cylinders made from Durabar cast iron. They are torque plate honed to a +.0005" tolerance using the exact process recommended by CP. Ring seal is immediate and oil consumption is excellent when used with our recommended break-in oil. They have been proven through rigorous testing to provide excellent performance and longevity and have a have a proprietary purple coating to prevent corrosion and promote heat dissipation. Head sealing and deck height adjustment is done using our special copper head gasket, available in .020", .030" and .040".
Forged pistons are made to WR specifications by CP. They include a 1.0/1.2/2.8mm ring package that is designed to seal quickly on initial break-in. Standard options are: a new special skirt coating that provides better break-in and quieter running, double pin oilers for improved wrist pin lubrication, contact reduction grooves to prevent detonation, an accumulator groove above the second ring to improve ring seal, a lightweight wrist pin retained by wire locks, and clearance for a 36mm exhaust valve. Rings must be gapped.
