NOW FINALLY AVAILABLE FOR THE T5!
Our short shift kit offers a 40% reduction in throws and includes the following:
The lever is precision Tig welded to the hardened socket. This is a complete replacement kit. There is no need to cut or modify your original shift lever. The original shift lever can be replaced at any time.
Installation is simple and can be done with normal hand tools. The original heater controls are still functional but the shift lock is not. It can be left in place for originality if desired.

I recently received the Shifter Kit. The machining and finish is of a very high quality. You can tell it is well engineered.I look forward to installing it soon.

I have had my ‘64 356 C for three months and love the car. The one thing that bothered me was hitting my hand on the ashtray when selecting first and third. I installed the short shifter and what a change in driving the car! Changing gears is crisp and precise, and my hand does not hit the dashboard any longer. I highly recommend this short shifter as a ‘must have’ upgrade. Not only is it highly functional but the design and finish are stunning.

This is my second short shift kit and coupler (get both for future piece of mind)- the first one was so good, precise and beautifully manufactured that I am converting all my 356's to these kits. Here's a guy who knows how to design and build parts that are not only functional, but beautiful as well. If only I could afford the engine kit rebuild. Try this kit and you will NEVER go back.

Finally got around to installing the short shift kit and the shift coupler on my 1965 356C.
Couple of hours work yielded the results I didn't expect. the combination of the short shift kit and coupler not only reduced the shift throws dramatically but also made the entire shifting mechanism tight and enjoyable, no play, no sloppiness, just exact and quick gear changing, made my 356 more of a sports car, next project will be the 901 throw-out bearing conversion kit and sport sway bar.......I may just take this bad boy racing...thank you Willhoit and Leno
