The 30mm factory optional Steering Column Extension was intended for taller drivers in order to give them more room between their leg and the gear shift lever. This is a nearly exact copy of the original factory kit.  It can be easily installed in any 356B or 356C model. It is typically painted black to match the steering column, but in the photos is shown in bare aluminum. It includes everything shown in the first image: The special spacer for the column, a special spacer for the steering shaft at the coupler, a new Febi/Bilstein steering coupler, and all the necessary hardware. The bolts at the steering coupler are 8.8 grade fine threaded metric with Nyloc nuts. It's easy to install and uses the standard steering wheel.

There are two extension kits, one for the 356B, and one for the 356C. The 356B kit includes the standard early steering coupler. The 356C kit includes the standard early coupler and our conversion extension to convert the 356C to the early coupler.
