Curil T2
The non-curing, temperature-resistant sealing compound.
Temperature stability: -55°C to +250°C (Briefly up to +270°C)
In engine maintenance many sealed joints are required above all else to be easily separable or disassembled. Curil T2 meets this requirement: It does not cure. Curil T2’s low viscosity makes it ideal for sealing finely finished and super finished components whose prescribed tolerances are not allowed to be changed. Joints sealed with Curil T2 remain leak proof under mechanical, chemical and thermal loads and yet are still easy to separate. These special advantages mean that Curil T2 can be used for joints between identical or different metals, threaded seals, etc. Curil T2 is resistant to mineral oils (also with additives), greases, hot and cold water, seawater, gases and air. 70ml Tube.
Application:
Clean and degrease the sealing surfaces. Apply Curil K2 and fit parts together.
At WR we use Curil T2 to hold the copper head gaskets in place during engine assembly, to seal the front pulley under the pulley nut to prevent oil migration past the keyway, and to seal the iron gasket under the flywheel. We also use it for sealing anything that uses a gasket.
Curil T2 replaces both of Elring's older sealing compounds, Curil T and Curil K2
